The most snow I've ever seen in New Orleans! Maybe flurries, but not actual snow. My house is in East New Orleans and this was taken today by my neighbor. There is actually enough to make a snow ball.
I called my brother, Terry in Folsom, LA and they have 6 inches of snow! No electric, trees are snapping and it is cold! Good luck finding a snow shovel at Walmart or Home Depot in LA. Not to mention people who live in Louisiana have no idea how to drive in the snow.
I finally took pics of the Sushi Roll Scarf. Tonight is Daniel's B-day, so I'm gonna give it to him. Does it look like a sushi roll? We'll see what the professional says!
I love my garden fish. Isn't it cute. It looks great by my purple flowers.
I went to Thai Classic on Clark near Roscoe Street tonight. This was a wonderful dinner. We were able to have Rambutan, Lechee, Longon and Mangosteen fresh. Normally these fruits are only available frozen or canned.

What an experience... It was so good on Sunday, I had to bring my Mom, Luchia and Dawn Sue today.
I better use the Wii fit for an hour tomorrow!
I finished the 2nd blanket finally. I think I will take a break with blankets for awhile. I need some instant gratification. Maybe the fat baby will be next or should it be the sushi scarf.
Happy Mother's Day!
I finished the Pocket Pals blanket and added the great Cubby Bear that George (Hubby) picked up for me. The blanket was very easy, but very time consuming. Since the pattern is all single & half double crochet, it took a long time. The pocket is all single crochet.
I finished the blanket earlier today, then came the pocket sewing. But, I think I did a pretty good job.
Today was a very busy day, I made Mother's Day lunch for my Mom, Uncle Mike, Momica (Mother-In-Law), and Tati (Father-In-Law).
You wanted to know, right!
O' I just love them. They are from Neiman Marcus' 2007 Christmas. I found hangers for them today at the Michael's, on sale. They even look like they are kissing. I shall put them near my Lalique Crystal fish from last year. When I make a million dollars, I plan on buying the Lalique Aquarium with a bunch of crystal fish. Of course, that will sit next to my room size saltwater aquarium.
OK, I'm getting back to my blanket project, since I finished my String Bag for JPB.
This blanket is for a friend's son. I decided to do it in Cubs colors (Red, White and Royal Blue) and there will be a pocket for a Cubby Bear. Most of the pattern is single crochet and half double. I try to do it for at least 1 hour at night, but I haven't gotten as far as I would have liked.
The ergo hook is helping so I should get it done sometime next week. Stay Tuned for updates!
I started this project in between the Make it your blanket. It needs to be done by Thursday. Since I've been so crazy at work this week, I haven't been able to work on it at night.
Now mind is ready to work on it but my hand is not cooperating. Every round my hand decides that it wants a break. This especially stinks, because I would like to get it finished this weekend.
Well, I guess I will see how my progress goes. Although I am at my best when under a deadline.
OK, So I finally finished the baby bib. Had a bit of trouble with the pattern, starting on the opposite side of the neck. I used common sense to finish and it turned out good. I still need more experience with this pattern thing. I'm starting a blanket today for a little boy. We'll see how my next project goes. I'm not adventurous enough to start something with sizing yet!
